Pollok FC Academy is delighted to hear that u19s Captain Mouhamed Niang
(Sena) signed a dual contract with the First Team.
This year sees the beginning of a new chapter with the Academy and Pollok FC working together in partnership as a community club.
This is a very exciting time for everyone involved at Pollok which will give all the young players at all age groups, the message and the incentive to work hard and improve each week to maximise their potential as we create the links and players pathways to the First Team.
Sena is excited and can’t wait to join up with the First Team for
pre-season. He is extremely grateful for the opportunity and trust that the
management team have placed on him, however he has always had ambition to play at a higher level and
is looking forward to the challenge.
Sena was born in Senegal (Dakar) on 08/10/1999, when he was 11 years old he and his family left Senegal for a new life in Glasgow. Sena has had a very
successful season as the Captain of U19’s,the team reaching the quarter finals of the Scottish Cup for the first time, played in 2 semi-finals and we
finished 3rd in our league. Sena also swept up the U19’s award by being
nominated Player of The Year and Players Player of the Year for his
consistency and high standards of play which has been recognised by many
this season.Well done Sena.
